Things in 3s
What's odd is I'm suffering from two of the same issues you currently have, Dave. I'm hopeful the replacing of the valve for our shower goes smoothly, though I'd be fine if it only takes me 3 hours. The kitchen one is a bit more in depth as my wife decided she wants a new sink in addition to replacing the faucet, and our instant hot decided to fail as well. So I guess ours is 3 too, but all plumbing related.
A little upbeat news. I got my Hard water faucet today and its perfect - exact same model as the one I had that is no longer available. In fact, I may have gotten the last new old stock replacement in the entire country. It came out 15 years ago and the company is no longer around. Its now put together with the water line attached. Only one or two minutes of wrenching left from the underside, which I am leaving for my son. Ordered a new Bunn coffee maker from Amazon and with the bath faucet now fixed, my 3 bad things are already resolved.
Best wishes to the rest of you on your 3's.

Uh oh after reading posts here I'm realising I'm in the 2 events club. The other day I had a car come at me head on as they had swerved to the left and come into my lane at about 40 m.p.h. to avoid hitting a squirell. Today I was sitting at a 4 way stop intersection and when my turn came to go a car came from the right and went right through the intersection never even slowed or bothered to look.
Engifineer you did good I feel your pain it is hard not to just drill some of these morons in the face but I suppose it is good that we have matured.

I replace my shower cartridge often, they always seem to leak. It is easy to do , but one time I forgot to tighten the hold down cap and when I turned on the water supply I created Niagara Falls in my upper bathroom, lesson learned that day.
I went for a quick shakedown run with my project track car the other day. I forgot to lock in the carbon fiber hood hold down pins and the hood blew open on me while driving. The hood and windshield are toast, that was a sucky day. One simple mistake that destroyed two items, $1,200 disappeared so fast in front of my eyes.
That really sucks. A neighbor came over a couple days ago in his '68 Mustang fastback and told me a similar story of the hood flying open; he said it didn't have a safety catch. Not sure why; my '59 MG has one.
^ yeah I would expect any road car to have the safety catch feature on the hood latch. Mine was deleted by a previous owner with it being a carbon fiber hood. It scares the crap out of you when it happens and you can't see anything as the car is still moving. Luckily I was on a quiet side road and no traffic or people around me.
Other night stove vent was up and running on low.
suddenly started running at high speed.
I think the switch assembly has burned up.haven;t had a chance to look yet.
I've had 2 at fault accidents in the last 30 years.
They both were with loaner cars from the Mercedes dealer.
combined speed of both may have reached 10 MPH
Thursday night i back into a tree and creased the rear quarter panel.
My driveway is long and wavy from side to side.
With tons of pine needles I was struggling to see the driveway.
I realized I was too close to one tree and focused on not swinging into it.
In my driveway, tree ran right out behind me.
