Default Things Change

First I got displaced from my shipping container in spring '05.

Then the canopy I was under collapsed in a snow/ sleet storm in ealry '06, leaving me in an open but secure lot.

Saturday I found out the property has been sold; and the new Owner will likely develop the site w/o spaces to rent.

I'm left now foraging for that ever elusive monthly parking space, along w/ the other 60 or so who will be cast out (I got the heads up, but I need to act fast).

I'll likely need to take a long walk or bike ride to get to the 'S', the spontaneous joy rides will be curtailed, though the appreciation factor will go up.

All I want in NYC is a garage....

Worst case scenario; I'll need to sell the 'S'! Sigh....

I know, I know. Reasonable garage space in New York City is the second hardest thing in the world to find.

My problem is not money (reasonable), it just doesn't exist nearby in my area.

I suppose the hardest is love for a lifetime?

I thought it was my car keys when I am already late.

Nope, that's easy. The hardest is a reasonably sized apartment for a reasonable rental in New York City.

That's why I love Upstate. 3 acres of country living, 2400 square foot house, inground pool, and not one, but two 24x24 garages, for less than the average apartment rent in NYC.
