It seems like you could have gotten an '05 for near or under invoice for the last couple of months. Now that the '06's are available to order, what kind of pricing are you seeing?

My understanding is that they could be ordered 9/1 and would be shipping 10/1 - feel free to correct me if I'm off.

I can be patient, and I'm willing to pay a ~2k more for an '06 over an '05.

So was anyone out there standing with their nose pressed up against the doors at the dealer yesterday morning?

I'm interested to find out, as well. I'm guessing they'll be more like $4k over what you could get an '05 for. That's just my own speculation, so take that for what it's worth...which is about $0.02.

 

Price shouldn't go up too much. Provided you get a good deal, you shouldn't be paying more than $1200 over current 05 prices. Good luck in your purchase!

I'm going to be first in line to pick up an '06 in my area, I've been hounding the dealerships about the '06 and no one knows squat. They even deny having the new brochures. I asked them if I could order one and they said no....so I'm going to have to say that theory of being able to order one starting 9/1 and delivered 10/1 isn't true.

 

I was told by my dealer that the MY06 will likely not ship until December. And they didn't have any MY06 brochures on the floor, he went into the back room for mine. And he probably only did that because I had bought an 05 the day before...

 

All the dealers that I talk to tell me I can't order one yet. And they don't know when the car will be on sale. Hell they don't even have the brochure... untill I play a trick and tell them other dealers are given them out... and what do u know he found one in the back room for me.
