US-64's the route I took last time, and it is spectacular! A little slow, though, because of the tourists, so depending on the time, we could take that way across. I hate interstates, but sometimes they are necessary if the goal is arrival.
however, arriving in my 'hood is always made slower by the hour's drive to/from the interstate.

Spent part of the day today on the Skyline Drive, at Luray Caverns and in Front Royal. Great day, beautiful weather, and more of the same expected tomorrow. Nice roads, nice scenery and all top down driving. It doesn't get any better than this!

Heading further south tomorrow.

Will check in again soon!

I had a very nice drive from Acton, CA to Albuquerque, NM today. I drove 776 miles in 11 hours and 20 minutes, including multiple short stops for gas or potty breaks. Sometimes I'd start to get sleepy so I'd find a good XM station and do some heavy wiggleing to a rock'n song, to wake up. Had some rain in New Mexico but not enough to go under 80 mph. Speed limit was 75 mph.

Here in Albuquerque, I was looking for a Conoco gas station (via GPS)after my yummy Carls Jr. fish sandwich for dinner and although the Conoco gas stations were gone, I did find red and white S2000s in one gas station! I pulled in and talked to the two young owners. Told them what I was up to, driving to see my Vintage friends.

Tomorrow I have 669 miles to drive to Rockwall, Texas to spend the night at Ruth Josey's house!
