Damn Jerry, I am sorry to read this. It did not take long to find out that it did not work out. The shoulder break, I am sorry to say, will likely bother you the rest of your life based on my best friend's experience from a bicycle accident. Don't tempt fate anymore on two wheels. From first hand experience I know what busted ribs are like - the worst pain I've ever experienced. I hope you heal quickly with the best possible outcome.

Jerry, I'm sorry I missed this yesterday. I hope you heal quickly. I can appreciate that riding a bike can feel pretty damn "freeing", but my .02 is time to move on, while you can still move. Give Barbara our best too.

It was relatively poor planning to do this on Thanksgiving weekend.
All of the orthopedic surgeons are taking the long weekend.
Sometime next week I'll get in the have it put back together.

Dave, like anything else, this too shall pass... slowly but it will pass.
These are annoying but don't get close to some of the kidney stones I've had.
At least these you can find "that position" where they are OK and only hurt when you move.
Of course trying to get up to go to the bathroom last night took about 3 hours.

Wow...I'm sure your droll sense of humor will carry you through as it has on many other occasions. Put this in your sig - “My life is a road, man. I need to keep moving.” – Matthew McConaughey.

as aside fell free to refer to me as that whiny little b^tch. this is getting worse not better.
The crushed muscles that lay over the broken ribs have decided that the only appropriate wat to react is with 100% strength spasms.
I try to be understanding of doctors. they have a life too.
This ortho should have delegated my case to someone who was available to operate immediately, not call my office next week and we'll set something up.

You and I are too much alike , wow.

As much as I love motorcycles I suffer from PTSD from my accident, I just can't get back on one without getting very bad memories of my accident.

Very sorry to hear of your accident Jerry, hopefully it wasn't bad enough to give you any long term injuries. Nice to hear of the people who stopped to help you. Get better soon and hopefully the bike is in good condition (mine was a write off when I had my accident and I never saw it again after it was towed away and we parted ways with me going to the hospital.
