Ok, we have some great news for the forum. Jim has accepted the CO job and the forum has endorsed the nomination.

PLUS our good buddy dean has volunteered to be the CO of the politics subforum.

Vintage will be served by three COs!!!

This is all subject to admin approval of course. But please let us know if you approve of dean for the CO of the Politics sub forum.
Sounds good.

Hmm, ok. dean is approved by Lainey, Jim, Deb, Ralper and me. Good enough for me. I'm contacting the admins.

Hmmmm.....an 18 minute consensus for approval of a new CO.....a new record!

Well, fltfshr was my first choice for the polyticks sub-f, but dean is a good alternative. He even wears clothes....

Since I hate politics, I have no leg to stand on in that sub-forum. I'm thrilled with Jim though. He's a good guy and a good friend.

I think the idea of nominating other people by blindly throwing out names is a waste of time. Have you talked to Flts? Did you ask him if he wants the job? I noticed that Flts was nominating Mike Garrison for the job. Flts doesn't seem too interested. If people want to be the CO they should say so. You can just send one of the COs a PM if you are embarrassed to post your interest. Our personal "first choices" are meaningless. I was hoping Pope Benedict would fill in for me.

I for one am grateful that Jim and Dean have stepped up. It's not like we had a lot of folks interested in the "fullfilling" high paying job, that we need to drag the process out.

Thanks to Legal Bill for being my co-Co, it's been a pleasure working with you. Welcome to Jim and Dean, I look forward to working with you both.
