I too am retired but would prefer if we stayed on standard time rather than DST. I really do not prefer the later sunsets. I like being outside, but I like being outside in the morning hours more than evening. As someone mentioned, it has to do with the place I live and it is simply too hot to enjoy late evenings outside.

Ken, I can't imagine if you were in the northern extremes in winter.
In Sweden, It bugged me that 11:00 even though the sun was 'up' it was still a pretty dim light.
