So sorry to hear this, Jerry. Best to grant someone's wishes if at all possible; but leaving the hospital ramps up the problems and requirements. The VA also has attended care facilities. I also agree on the hospice option. Around here, they have both in and outpatient services.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's situation. Both my parents suffered from COPD and it is a terrible disease. Hopefully hospice will be able to step in. I've dealt with them with a couple of my clients and around here, at least, they can go beyond just comfort care.
My thoughts are with you.

Jerry, I wish I some good advice or wise words but all that comes to mind is be strong and love him.

Jerry, Barbara and I share your hurt and send you our love. You and Kathy were there for us when we lost our parents it it meant a lot to us. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Jerry,
This is very sad to hear. It is sad to watch someone give up. I know the fight is hard, and people get tired, but it is very sad to watch a person just give up.
Maybe what he needs is just for someone to stand by him. I think your visit will do a lot of good.
Godspeed.

I know how heartbroken and helpless you must feel....I'm so sorry and wish you and your family strength to get through this very sad time. I hope your brother doesn't suffer too much.
