Tree or no tree?
Even grinches sometimes put up a Christmas tree. We put ours up yesterday. A small fake, pre-lit one. We've become very lazy when it comes to Christmas trees.
My tree has no balls, just ornaments. I prefer less traditional stuff on the tree.
We have a pink Cadillac and popcorn.
Oh and a Thanks, Val!!
If you celebrate the holiday, do you put up a tree? What's on your tree?
Correction: there is one ball ornament on the tree, above the pink Cadillac. It's an ornament with a picture of Ally.

A day after Thanksgiving, we usually bring out our fake tree my wife and my son bought in Germany in 1999 when I was out of country. We have collected blown glass ornaments over the years. They are mostly from Poland or Germany. Our tree topper is made from Columbia. Our fake tree is resplendent with these ornaments. Each one is special. Since we have too many, some of them stay in their boxes.

We dont bother with a tree, gave that up decade ago when the cats used to knock it over from constantly jumping in it. The funny thing is we dont miss it one bit, always a hassle to put it up, pick it out, water it
Its much nicer nowadays without all that hassle.
Dont get me wrong I like looking at them but its the same as kids we like em as long as they are not ours

We used to put up 2 trees, one a cut tree in the living room and decorated mostly in white, the other a fake one in the family room and done in colored lights with a lot of toy ornaments.
Now that the kids are grown, we only do the one in the living room.

We bought a fake one this year and here it is along with some of my favorite ornaments.
Too bad this one is blurry and the car is the wrong color, but I bought it way back in '07
It just took me two years to get the car:

We put up a fake tree and as each year comes along I'm looking for excuses not to bother. This year we thought that this monster puppy of ours would be the excuse, he still chews pens, hats gloves, shoes and may be Christmas trees!

We've been having the real vs fake debate for two years now.
I've grown tired of the cleanup after.
of course if it wasn't for the motivation falling needled the tree would probably still be up in March.
Our first year in this house we put the tree in the great room.
it was only 12 feet tall. there aren't a whole lot places that sell trees that size.

We have a Costco 7 footer that went up the day after Thanksgiving. It must be the 6th year for it and it still looks good. The +1 puts more decorations on it that animals in the ark. Mostly ornaments collected over the years. I think we always have had a tree, doesn't seem like Christmas without one.
