Default Tsunami...

Are any of our vintage members in danger of the tsunami?

I hope that everyone is safe.

I think Crescent City in the northern most part of California is about the only place with significant damage, in California. I was at my hospital volunteer job and had the TV on in the surgery waiting room all morning, which had pretty much non-stop coverage of the local beaches (nothing happening) and the effects, elsewhere. The TV said the pier in Crescent City was heavily damaged and that it's a regular thing for it, being where it's located. Morro Bay was said to have a decent size wave but I didn't hear of damage there. The waves are supposed to continue over hours, and not just be a one time event, so people are still just waiting to see what's coming, along with the coming high tide. Real damage is not expected.

Our thoughts and prayers should be with the people of Japan during this incredible disaster.

Yes, you are right. I should have mentioned that in my original post.

My thoughts and prayers are definitely with the people of Japan. The pictures are devastating.
