As for aging this pretty much sums it for me.

You may think this is silly, but 25 was my worst.

I had mixed feelings about 25. On the one hand I knew I was no longer a kid and had to be more responsible, but I also felt that I was not ready to be accepted by 'adults' as a peer yet. I also realized that a qtr. century had passed and thought I could have done more.
I don't think it's silly at all. 26 was my worse birthday EVA! Don't know why, but it was. 40, no problem 50, no problem, 55 will be the next milestone, but a couple more years until that one.

Age, it's all in your mind................and in your back when you wake up in the morning.

Amen, Lainey! Lets not even talk about the body after a weekend of yardwork!

Well being a young vint compared to most of you i have to say 30 was the one that did it for me. Turned 30 and got married in the same week. Somehow those 2 things combined really mess you up pyschcologically. Bahhh that was over a decade ago next milestone is 45 and i dont see that one bothering me. I will say the plus one and I visited the cematary today belated visit to her mom for mothers day and its funny how when you see ages on stones you start counting how many birthdays you may have left and not how many have passed.

By being successful through wit and a bit of luck. Why would you be disgusted by that? Wear your age as a badge of honor.

I have never had a problem with any birthday until last year. 56 was bad and 57 is coming this week and I don't look forward to it. For me it has something to do with being alone.

I haven't been bothered by any birthdays so far. Though I find that when people ask me my age it's taking me longer and longer to figure the correct answer.

It's easy for me to ignore a birthday because it's just another day on the calendar. It's not as if you save up all of your oldness for a decade, and then suddenly apply it when you wake up on your 40th, 50th, 60th or whatever birthday. The more traumatic events for me have been the "first times" that let me know I'm getting older:

- First time I sunburned the top of my head
- First bifocals
- First time a waitress called me "Pops" (2 weeks ago)
- First marriage in the generation following mine (later this month)
- First time meeting a grandparent younger than me

I've heard other people get rattled the first time they had a boss or doctor younger than themselves, but I these haven't happened to me.

At least I'm still measuring my age by "first times" instead of "last times". My dad was pretty depressed when he realized that he had played tennis for the last time.

I never was 30...... I went from 29 to 32 with nothing in between. I figured it was going to be all downhill after 29........ and it has been. But nowhere near as fast as I was afraid it would be.

Just remember: Old age ain't for sissies...!!!
