Under construction finally
We sold our house in 6 weeks and settled in June 14. The GT was sold back in Sept 13 and tried to buy a water front lot. That took a lot longer
than anticipated but during the time we found a design on line and got an architect to modify to our requirement. We got a great builder and a guy to build the pier with RipRap. So her we are living in Baltimore with our daughter in a 100 year old house in Canton. So I thought it would be good to share some photos.

Billy, Excellent choice. You will never regret it. I see a lot of ocean going boats in the background so I assume you can get out to big water. Where exactly does that bay lead to? How far to the ocean? How much water at the end of your dock at mean low tide? I give you credit for dealing with whatever your local verison of the Conservation Commission is called. I'm sure that dock cost almost as much to design and approve than it cost to build.

I grew up in Baltimore and spent summers at my Aunt & Uncle's on the Bay. Nothing like it and when I boated the area was the best cruising area anywhere. Picked crabs from the Sassafras all the way down to Tilghman Island. Great property.
Thanks for the complements. The water is called Norman Creek, Essex Md. The pier goes out 80' on water and 20' on land. 5' deep and sandy bottom. The process of permits and county approvals has taken 4 months and that does not include finding base plans that could be modified but had the backbone of our design concept, archietect that we liked and interviewing builders plus selling our house which went in 6 weeks at full price! So basically starting March 1st. thru Sept 15th all this stuff was going on.
