Just reading an article in Bloomberg about a very special coffee.
You may have heard of civet coffee where they cull the "processed" coffee beans from the dropping of wild civets.
apparently the digestive process reduces the bitterness of the beans.
The article states that civet coffee got a bad name because farmers were locking civets in cages and force-feeding the m the coffee.
Along comes https://www.blackivorycoffee.com/ to the rescue.
They use elephants and give the elephants a concoction of bananas and coffee cherries which is the bean and the fruit together.
Works just as well it's said.
Very Mellow it's said just not by me.
Oh and it about $2k per kilo....

I just am curious about one thing, who the hell ever tried this the first time and what was their motivation?

Like one day Joe & Bill are sitting around. "Hey Joe, how about some coffee?"

"Sure! Damn some gerbils, ok civits, pooped in our last stock."

They brew it anyhow. "Man! Best coffee ever. Let's market it."

Or... after trying various semi and fully digested coffee beans, civit barfed & pooped beans are the best! Gorillas and Killer Whales tied for second.

 

And I thought Keurig was over priced.
