It has warmed up a bit (if you can call 35 warm) but the damage is done with the snow. We got 9" here close in to the city, but it was over a foot in many places around the area. Still lots of schools, etc closed. We bagged out trip to Myrtle Beach. I think everyone in the Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast will agree that this has been the worst winter on record. And it's only mid Feb!!
Up here, I would consider 35 warm. Only 14 out of the last 45 days has reached 35.

Todays weather word is bombogenesis which is the rapid intensification of a low pressure area when it hits the waters of the Atlantic.
Basically storms roll across the country but run out of moisture. When they hit the coast, they get rejuvenated and poof!! it's a blizzard.

I'm ready for it to end. My wife slid off the road into a snowbank yesterday. Thankfully she was unhurt and there were no other cars involved. The bumper popped out of some tabs, a hub cap is cracked, and the alignment is mildly tweaked. All easy fixes. Took me 10 minutes to fix the bumper and reposition the hub cap. We have free lifetime alignments on the car at a local tire store, so that is no big deal. I spent more time walking around the house in knee deep snow to get the floor jack out of the shop. Would have been a shorter walk, but the sidewalk to the back door of the garage heaved and the door is jammed shut. The aluminum trim around the door is buckled now and will need to be re-done. Oh, and I had to snow blow the driveway for the 9th time in 10 days.

I've detemined a solution. I going to go test out Patty's weather for a few days.

We are close to the "jackpot" line for the current storm. 8-12" plus on this one. Wet heavy snow.
We are so DONE with winter. Too bad winter is not done with us!
