It seems to have gone from ominous to catastrophic. Now showing 25-35". Truly scary. Jim - are you going to stay in your house? I can't imagine how far people will have to drive to get out of there. Such a large area being affected. I also saw that a possible scenario has the storm hanging over Texas for a few days, then going back into the Gulf, regaining strength and hitting Louisiana! Wow...

Jim & family, stay safe! Terrible forecast - one to two feet of water with winds up to 120 mph. Damn, that's a whole lot of not good.

Thank you, Val, and all!
With Allison, the storm just sat here and dumped buckets of water. Many houses on our street were completely flooded; the water was up to our front door.
So far now we are getting lots of rain, but the worst is apparently yet to come. No real flooding yet. People are staying inside, waiting... My little dog, Tara, is, with age, increasingly afraid of the thunder. I had to get some Benadryl to keep her from shaking.

Poor little Tara. Let's hope the front door is the stopping point this time, also.

Weather is not looking wonderful for us for the next few days. Cyclone 10 is expected to make landfall in/around Charleston and the SC and NC coastal areas will probably see a Tropical Storm. We expect heavy storms to begin tomorrow evening. Sigh.
