David, thank you for correcting me on Facebook. I never saw rime ice before today.

Jerry, I noticed it was slippery on my deck even though I couldn't see anything on it.

^It looks like flowers budding to this SoCal girl. If I didn't see the ice I wouldn't have known.

^Leo decided it was a good day to spend in his bed under my bed.

It is the classic black ice. it is actually more dangerous when there is less of it to give it away.
you can get it down in valleys late at night on roads especially next to meadows.
You're driving along fine and then suddenly you're in the ditch going WTf...?

Yeah, that's why I cancelled my plans to visit my son, daughter, get an MRI and then go to my sister's house. Way too much iffy driving that isn't necessary. My heel is slowly getting better after 3 1/2 months so I figured the MRI isn't needed. Sunday I may reconsider the visits.

^Ah, brisk fresh air!

^UPS walked up my long, steep and curved driveway today to deliver three boxes. Even the driver knew better than to attempt it.

It's warm but we are having heavy rain. It's a stay indoors kind of day, though I just ran some quick errands. Most gloomy, but better than snow in my world.
