Uhoh...now it's rain and snow Sat for the +1 running in C-ville and for my friend and me on the Potomac river fireworks cruise. I'm guessing the cruise might be cancelled. TBD...

We're having very high winds today. Went out for lunch and witnessed the sign for the restaurant ripped from the building and flung into the parking lot! Fortunately no people or vehicles were near it. Hope I don't go home to fallen pine trees after work like I did last year. I'm worried, the ground is soft. Cost me almost $2K and most of the summer to clean that mess up.

The winds are whipping here on the north coast as well. My weather station recorded a gust of 57mph early today. The windows and doors are making all kinds of noise!

Yeah, we are supposed to get gusts 40-50 mph today. Fri will be very windy as well. Then the mess Sat as described above. Apparently, the call on how much snow we get will be last minute because of the warmer ground temps, warmer temps in general, etc this time of year, especially downtown near the river. North and west are a different story. Probably be all snow there.

Gusts of 65mph here. Couple of blown over tractor trailers. Wife just called to say our power is out at home.
