I had a chance to do that a few years ago. Much better than sitting on the couch waiting for summer.

Gonna’ be okay until I’m forced to brake hard.

Good luck to all of our New England friends.

Yeah, he's living in Chicago which doesn't have the nicest winters. I believe he told me they go up to Wisconsin for the autocross on ice.

we've started with a light but steady snow, although we're just about ready to break out the shorts; it's an almost steamy 25°F.

We are getting a mini blizzard right now - winds blowing around snow. Supposed to be light (around 1") but it doesn't look that way at the moment. Accumulating fast. We are hibernating tonight and maybe most of tomorrow, too. Bitter cold. I'm very, very glad that my mother is no longer in her house and being taken care of. This is the kind of situation that has worried me a lot in the past.

I used to ice race a Toyota Corona MkII back in the mid-70s. Loved it. But it certainly wasn't on a lake that big!

We are at 10* with 45 m/h winds. F'n cold out there.

Unfortunately I had to drive about 35 miles rt 495 to attend a wake this afternoon.
The traffic coming back was awful. I got stuck behind the plow congo line for about 15 miles at 10-15 MPH....

Of course it was dark at this point. A bimbette in the center lane was driving along without her lights on texting away.
It took and incredible effort to get her attention, beeping, flashing my lights waving my arms and pointing at her headlights to get her to wake up.

That's when a shoulder mounted weapon should be legal to use. I had a similar bimbette almost run into me when I pulled out in front of her, and of course it was dark and she was cruising happily along with no lights, and there was no way I could have seen her. Finally, after pulling up behind her and flashing my lights, she realized that maybe she should turn hers on. &*%$ New York drivers

we got about 6" of snow today with temps dropping rapidly. I think tomorrow will be a good day to stay in.
