When did it sell? $78K is very good money for a BJ8 in number 2 condition. Number 1 cars are going in that range.

Sold at Barrett-Jackson auction. There were two buyer bidding high, to get the car. Sound of that exhaust, which Ant DIY'ed, was awesome! Also, there is nothing like the sound of side-draught Weber carbs. I miss my BMW 2002Ti (dual SD Weber DCOE 45).

Austin "ruined" the car with wind up windows and a roof that fit. What next? Power roof and windows, AC, cruise control, VSA, anti-lock brakes, 6-speed transmission? Oops, that describes out cars!

I did have the one-time pleasure of driving a Ford 260 or 289 engined Healey (probably the 100-6) eons ago. The Healey differential failed soon afterwards. These were cheap back in the day.
