Default the Well ... Sh^t thread

We have the &%$#@&&! thread for ranting about stuff that makes you angry.
This thread is slightly different. Sometimes things happen, they are aggravating but then they are over and done with and you just have to move on.

What am I thinking about here's an example.
We had an old steel case desk. It had been in my son's bedroom for a long time but it was time to get rid of it.
We loaded it into the big SUV to take it for disposal at the transfer station. ( sort of like the dump but stuff doesn't stay there.)
It isn't far, only 1.5 miles away but to get there we have to cross rt 117 which can be busy at times, There are no traffic controls other than we had a stop sign.
Wait a while and it's either one lane or the other but finally a break appears.
I give her some beans to get across quickly while we have a bit of a hole.
then i heard the loose drawers and desk slide and then I heard another louder clatter.
Ah yes the sound of broken glass falling in on the desk.
The corner of the desk had punched out through the rear window.
Hence with a resigned recognition of events as they stand, "Well ... Sh^t"
It's done, It's over, Son of a Beehive!!
Not much to rant about, It was my own damn fault.
sigh. time to call the insurance company.

I knew what you were going to say happened as soon as you posted I put the steel desk in the back of the s.u.v. I did the same thing movie a file cabinet that I had put in the back of a Capri I had at the time. Corner of the cabinet hit the hatchback glass and that was it.

Many years ago, I was transporting kayak in my SUV. Unfortunately, I was pushing my kayak a bit too much to the front and bow of the kayak kissed the windshield. Windshield had to be replaced.

Windshields are cheap compared to rear windows. They rarely get replaced compared to front glass.

I've said "Oh SHlT" too many times to remember them all.
PS that's a lower case l instead of an I, Sometimes things are not what they seem.

The moment you shut the door and realize that the keys and phone are still in the car.

"Is the door locked?"

I knew I shouldn't have gotten dental x-rays. Of course, they found decay under crowns and fillings. The first repaired crown will cost me $2,180.

Somehow I managed to lose my change purse in the Orlando airport security area. That is where I think it disappeared. Found out it was gone when I got home. Fortunately, I keep only the essentials in there. My one credit card, driver's license and some small amount of cash. I took out the license at security and was sure I put it back, but from there into my larger purse apparently did not happen. Anyhoo, I already cancelled the card and ordered a replacement license. Might see it returned.

I feel your pain....Generally they remove the crown, fix the tooth and put in a new crown. Pricey.....

Same here. 3 crowns, 1 implant, and one extraction with no replacement. 8K. Insurance paid about half. So don’t feel bad.
