I think that would probably be a good idea.
I thought it (no talking politics) was an agreed-upon rule at our Vintage meets. I know that was true for our first Spring Fling.

Anyway, I finally became a grandma after my "confirmed bachelor" son got married and had my granddaughter, Olivia I had given up on ever being a grandma. I was so excited and happy I just told everyone to start calling me granny. So when I bought my S, I became a granny who drives a hot rod and my astonished kids, who couldn't believe what I bought, started calling me "hot rod granny." I just changed a few things around.

I'm glad the confirmed Vintagers are intelligent and civil enough not to discuss politics and become rude, ugly flamethrowers. Anytime you'd like to have a little dose of that, go over to the politics/current events forum .

Not too hard to figure out my screen name.

At one time whites are very rare and I was here early enough to claim it.

Chazmo is my nickname, which I've had since college. A friend of mine gave me the name after "Satchmo" -- Louis Armstrong, that is. I'm a trumpet player too, although I play classical, not jazz...

The name stuck. I use it in business and, of course, here.

I've googled it a few times and I've discovered that there are a few other folks out there who have used this nickname... There's a guy on the board here who calls himself "Cheezmo," but I'm sure that's for completely unrelated reasons.

I wild thing happened to me a few years ago. I have had personalized "CHAZMO" license plates for many years, and I did a gig in Boston during one of their famous North End Italian festivals... One of the other trumpet players pulls up next to me, and his car has "CHEZMO"... His name was Sanchez!

Mine is ralper. First initial, last name. Easy to remember.
Just like you except the other way around.

Last Name + First Initial. Paiva + G All my friends call me by my last name so I just put a spin on it by adding the G! Pronounced - 'pAv - '

My cousin used to call me Morris which is a play on my real middle name which I shall not divulge here because I don't like it and you don't need to know it and Kyras, keep your lips zipped.

The Prodigal Son returns ....

.... and please, no talk about toasters!

Also my license plate, as noted above, 4Motto is also my last name (or an interesting spelling of it). The true spelling of my last name is Formato.

Sorry... not that exciting of an explanation, huh?

BTW... It's raining here in So Cal (thought my Mid-West friends would appreciate that).

Is it like the lyrics to a Steve Miller song?
