Recently read “All the light we can’t see” and “Beneath a scarlet sky”. Both are WWII based and were good reads.

I did a search too before I posted here and didn't turn up anything either but I seem to remember a monthy column by him along the lines of Side Glances by Peter Egan. I'll do an old school search next time in my attic I'll look through my old Road and Tracks.

I'm reading my first Steinbeck, Travels with Charley. If you haven't read it it is about a man who takes 3 months to travel across the country in a pickup with a camper attachment and of course he goes with his dog a french poodle named Charley. I just started it and so far have traveled with him from long island to Maine and stopped at the part where he is leaving Maine. I'm looking forward to the rest of his travels. I believe it takes place in 1960.

For all you history buffs out there, Bert Kinzey has an updated book on the attack on Pearl Harbor. It's complete with all the ships (both US and IJN). Air units of the US and Japan. Subs, radar contacts, etc. Highly recommended, for those knuckleheads, who like this kind of stuff.

The Truman book was very good, just covers the first 4 months he was in office.
The Red Notice book gives you an idea of what Russia is like for business. And the power of the government to just ignore laws. (sound familiar?)

I'm reading Personal by Lee Child it's one of the Jack Reacher books. After seeing the movie I keep picturing Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher which doesn't fit since in the book Jack Reacher is described as 6'5 250 lbs and having a 50inch chest.
