Saturday - Top down S2000 drive with my sweetie, nice lunch out.
Sunday - Looks like a wash out, so I can sit and watch Indy w/o feeling guilty. Might watch the World Super Bike races, but I'm not sure if I can after losing my favorite rider this past week.
Monday - In laws are having entire family over to the senior center for a cook out.

This might be worthwhile attending for those in the DC area next weekend: https://www.dcitaliancarshow.com/:

Laying low. Beach traffic is crazy. It will be like this until after Labor Day. Doing a bike ride tomorrow far away from the traffic nightmare.

Val was telling me that beach traffic is bad in her area all the time now (Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet SC). Will probably find that out when we go down in a couple of weeks. Route 17 is the main drag and is a drag when it comes to getting out of her neighborhood.

Went out to Round Hill VA last night for the bluegrass jam and it was really fun. Lots of interesting musicians in a historic building (old furniture factory). The little group we were sitting with had two men who were in their 80s playing and singing old songs from the 40s, most of which the younger people did not know. Coming back it was pitch black for quite awhile until we got closer to Dulles. I never see it that dark with all the city lights around here.

Police just closed off Route 50 below us for hundreds of motorcycles in a caravan - I guess going to Arlington Cemetery. All part of Rolling Thunder tomorrow. About 400,000 bikes usually show up. The procession from the Pentagon to the Mall downtown takes about four hours. It's impressive!!

We were out in the MG most of day on back roads and saw two "herds" of motorcycles; perhaps 40 in each. The best part is always the one or two laggers, for whatever reason, that are trying to catch up and going about 3 times the speed limit.

Unfortunately, there was period of heavy rain for quite awhile right before the baseball game (about 1.5 hr wait to start) and during Rolling Thunder. I felt bad for all those bikers getting soaking wet on the parade from the Pentagon to the Mall.
