We love it here, I don't suppose it has changed much in the last 20 years. But we much prefer our aged three-star resort over the last brand new five-star resort we had in the Dominican Republic. We love the people here, safe, clean, good food, and you can drink the water, beautiful beaches and the people speak English. We have visited a number of islands and this is our favourite - third visit in as many years. If I can figure out how to load a pic from my phone I will add one.

We went twice to Antigua. One of the prettiest Islands we visited was St. Lucia. The least favorite was in the Dominican. I would have left early had it been an option.

Same here , I couldn't get out of the DR fast enough, I ended up with fluid in my lungs half way through the vacation much like you hear people complaining about it now, and that was 2 years ago. I now think I came very close to dying there, nothing about that vacation was normal by any standards. It was horrible in all respects, and we didn't go there for a cheap vacation, having paid more than twice what we normally pay now in Antigua.

Family coming down to the beach. The grandkids want one more beach day before school starts. Only 2 more weeks until the vacationers leave.
