Another fun night at the State. Foreigner has so many great songs.

Back to the State Fri night for the Elton John tribute. We saw Elton and Billy Joel a few years ago, so will be interesting to see how this Elton compares. If the show is anything like the rest of them at the State, it will be another amazing night. And speaking of amazing, next Mon night is Pink, for the second time.

Think I'll drive to Staunton and spend the weekend with 28 or so friends and drive some nice roads.

Reggie and the Jets were great last night (Elton John tribute band). Headed to the farmers market shortly. Rest of the weekend winging it. Probably watch women’s soccer versus Sweden at 4:30 AM tomorrow.

I made it to the spin class, bruised, sore foot and all. It's quite colorful today. Spinning was OK, walking, not so much. Weather not too bad today. No plans at the moment, but we should think of something vs wasting a summer day.

Do you stand up on the pedals at times? I have been riding my ElliptiGO, which is constant standing, but I'm not taking walks. I hurt my foot on July 1st shoveling weeds out of my dirt road at Kennedy Meadows. I felt a sharp pain in my left foot and then quit pushing the shovel with it. I went to the doctor two weeks ago. X-rays showed rheumatoid arthritis damage in the pinky toe, which I've had for years and edema. I'm waiting for an appointment with a podiatrist in September. It gets tiring hobbling everywhere which I'm sure you understand. There has to be something else going on. I don't want a boot but I'd wear one now if it'd start some healing. For now, it's ibuprofen, and ice, when I remember it.

Patricia, we stand often in the spin class. That didn't hurt. If I moved the foot around in the spin shoe, that hurt. I just checked urgent care schedule to see if they had an appointment so I could get an Xray. No appointments and a 90 minute wait. I see no need to sit around for that. I'll see how it is in a couple days. First on the schedule on Monday will be a call to the dentist.

BTW, if i were me, I'd see an ortho for the foot vs a podiatrist. I don't have a lot of love/faith for the podiatrists.
