Do you do that by yourself? My Himi's are like wrestling with a bear!
Yup. I talked to the vet, he told me what to buy, and gave me a little demo. I have never gotten scratched or bitten, but it can be a project. The thing is, as far as I'm concerned, you want to always play it safe, their claws are like our fingernails, you can indeed clip them down too far and that would HURT! So I stay back a good ways from the sensative area called the quick, but that only means I have to do it a bit more often.

You too could ask your vet to give you a demo. I have found the best place to do it is right down on the floor, and a slippery floor at that.

Check it out.

Doug, how do you think the would like THIS one for a deep lounging area I
How's this for an answer? That bear and chair would be on the floor so fassssst.

That looks like the perfect spot to get nice and toasty warm.

Old homes are wonderful, and yes, stone structures as you know just have some of the coolest features.

South is generally best unless the plants are pretty low light plants. That window seems to have a lot of over hang. (wrong term?) It would be good for any plant except a very high light plant. Now that said these are just general rules. I have kept plants alive in very adverse conditions plus there are so many other factors involved. Oh, and please never keep ugly plants in your house. They are supposed to bring you joy not misery. (you can do it ........ just say a small prayer and drop them in the trash!) Amen!

I think the technical term would be extremly deep windowsill Thanks, I wanted to make it really big with a large overhang, it will help to highlight all the new trim and become a big feature int he room.

South? Hmmm. That's a problem. I have all of 1 south window in the house. The south end of my house has the garage attached to it so that eliminated house window opportunities.

That's too funny about the sick plant, I so know what you mean. My sister has a few sickly ones, and I just find nothing wonderful about them.

I have all of 1 house plant, I have no idea what it is, my sister gave it to me and said you will have a hard time killing this. This plant sits on the counter in the bathroom, gets basicall zero direct sun. I water it when I remember, and all it does is grow, look great, and display its great green color. My kind of plant.

Oh that's good, banned from PetSmart...

Sorry, it sounds like you may want to shelf the idea of you trimming their nails.

What you probably have is a Jade Pothos. Sort of heart shaped leaves of medium color? Vining with little brown nubs on the stem? You kill it by over watering. Rule of thumb ... when in doubt, DO NOT water. BTW, they are poisonous to cats. I think only if they chew a whole bunch but it's on THE LIST.

The BTW nails it... It's a joke my sister and I share. She gave me the plant, she sits for my cats all the weekends I'm gone to the track. Ganzo is not impressed when I'm away, and he sometimes gives my sistyer a great deal of attitude. I of course tell her it is her own damn fault, Ganzo knows full well she gave me a plant that is poisonous to cats just to knock him off.

Actually, my cats once in a while bite a leaf, but it must taste really nasty because all they ever do is puncture the leafe, never eat. I have always thought I would love to see their face when they bite down on one of those leaves. And you are right, they would have to digest several leaves to get themselves in trouble.

Good call, you nailed it in one guess.
