When is the last time you took a road trip to see a friend made due to our cars?

^ Was hoping to see Carmen, too, but he will be with you at the Tomcatt!!

Last time was the Weekend at Dean's. It has been too long.
Not a road trip but went a bit out of the way to visit Deb. But that was really more about kitchens than cars.

Well, I did see your new ride! Yeah, Dean's was one of our best weekends ever. I wear that t-shirt a lot.

Friday, drove to Columbus to see another member on here (well, not in vintage at least) and have lunch. I didn't take the S though.

Had a wonderful couple of visits with Val (Darlene) and Jim in SC. If you ever get down to the Myrtle Beach area, you must go to Brookgreen Gardens - 2500 acres of just gorgeous grounds with many sculptures (and live oak trees, of course). We had lunch there with them on Sun. Hoping to get together with Granny (Angela) next week for lunch. No road trip required.

Doesn't quite fit the "road trip" suggestion, but we have done interesting things with S2000 acquaintances in foreign countries...mostly 10+ years ago in the "early years".
*2001: connected with young engineer in Barcelona Spain while travelling; met up with him and had tapas on the cool pedestrian street...Ramblas? He's moved up in his company and is still a LinkedIn friend
*2005 or so: hit up the Switzerland S2000 group when visiting friends in a tiny town west of Zurich; about 4 S2000's dropped by on a Sunday (including a husband and wife...each with an S ) They took Kathy and me on an incredible drive for an hour or two, with the Alps in the distance; and them treated us to lunch afterwards! I emailed with them a few years ago; were friendly but have moved on to other cars for racing....forget the details.
*2008 or so: had connected with the ONLY early S2000 owner (at the time) in New Zealand (via the Australian Forum) to ask for advice on touring; after many exchanges by email, she invited us to STAY with her in Christchurch....actually two different times for a couple days....giving up her bedroom for us! She is a veterinarian and works with animal rescue. She drove me around in her SPA S2000, and then led us to some really neat spots on the east coast of the South Island. Her SN is <KiwiSue> and we are still in touch via email!
Does anyone else have "out of North America" stories about S2000 owners? (sorry, Emil and Canadian friends)
