Default When was the last time you washed your S2000

21 years ago, when I first got my S I'd wash it every other week and wax it at least once a month. I used to change oil every 1,000 miles. I still do but now it takes me at least 3 years to put 1,000 miles on the car. A week ago I filled up the gas tank. It was the first time in a year and 10 days that I put gas in the car. I only put 185 miles on the car in that time.

I guess it's the natural order of things. As time has passed other things have come up in life, there is always so much to do and so little time to do it. I just don't use the car as much as I'd like to. And I don't have the time to fuss over it like I used to. For the most part, it sits in the garage.

Do you still use your S as much as you did years ago? Do you still fuss over it like we all did?

The S is Rick's daily driver, and the P car is our road trip car. Rick "rotates the product", driving the P car for a week or so, then switching to the S during the summer months. I prefer the P car for road trips as it's more comfortable, and we have more room. As reliable as the Honda is, I fear having a mechanical issue on a road trip and having to hunt down parts. I know that likely doesn't even enter in the thought process of many here. I'd estimate the S is driven around 5K miles per year and it still gets plenty of TLC. We now have about 128K on it and still get compliments and the when we are out and about. Rick washed it this afternoon.

Last summer was its last wash, it’s still in the garage with the cover on. It’ll come out soon though for the Indy race at MidOhio where we do parade laps with the drivers.

I’ll get the cover off and cleaned this weekend.

I still enjoy the car but now I drive it less often, mainly out of worry of messing it up, too many idiot drivers out there.

I washed mine last Saturday, actually washed it twice. It sits from Nov. to late April due to salt on the roads here in winter so I drive it from May through October, don’t daily drive it but try to get it out once or twice per week. I have always waxed it twice a year once in the spring and once in the fall. 20 years of ownership for me this month and my S has covered 79,3xx. miles.

Washed mine this past Sunday, mostly to get a layer of pollen off it.

I washed my S the last week of March. My son and I followed that up with an application of clay bar. We touched up several spots with a Mr. Color Chip kit before my back surgery on April 6. My son sprayed a ceramic coating on the entire car while I recover from that surgery and promptly covered it back up, as I patiently wait for the ok from my surgeon to drive it again. I’m hoping for that July 6.

I do not wash it that often. When I do, I take it over to a friend's house and wash it in her driveway.
