Jonas -

Does that apply to livers as well? I plan to be pretty well done with mine by the end without using it up. I hear they can regenerate - which will probably be much more likely in the recepient.

Substitute end-luser and 10 and you pretty much sum up my day today.

You never know what will be useful some years down the road.

You won't be needing it, that's for sure.

That's what makes it a duty, rather than a good deed, IMHO. To endure marrow donation is a good deed; to allow a harvesting of organs that costs me nothing is a duty, a no-brainer.

Although my plan is to use up everything in my first 100 years. There won't be much left when I check out.

Rode the MS 150 mile Bike to the Bay last week end. While I was getting coffee at McDonald's an elderly gentleman came up and thanked me for riding and raising the required $250. pledge, although I raised $400 and our team was the 3rd highest fund raiser. He said his daughter got MS 8 years ago and now he is caring for her as she cannot talk, respond or even move and is bedridden. He is doing it alone, every day and taking care of her 2 children as his wife is gone and his daughter is divorced. I rode the best MS ride ever in the 10 years I have been doing this event and that man gave me the inspiration.

Ray.

They say if you could pick your troubles in life, after comparing the troubles of others, you'd keep your own.

Bless that gentlemen for what he does day in and day out.

While going to the hospital to visit my 88 y.o. Grandmother I saw an older lady on the side of the road looking at her car. I turned around and pulled a VERY large chunk of metal from under her car. I gave her a hug and sent her on her way.

ps: my Grandmother is in much better shape now too.

Reunited a lost dog with it's rightful owner via Craigslist.

I'm just full of good karma.
