Default Wildfires in Canada

Smoke from the fires in southern Nova Scotia is pretty much blanketing the Northeast. Looks like our friends in Mass are getting a good dose of it.
Lainey and Jerry, how is it there? We in Delaware are under a health advisory until Friday. I could see the haze this morning.

WaPo article.

I hope it’s outta here by Sunday. Our granddaughter is getting married in Wilmington and the ceremony is outside.

The smoke was in Colorado a week ago. Since it's not here now I had hoped the fires got put out. Darn.

It was hazy today, I could not smell the smoke but others did. It was noticeable yesterday as well. Seems to be clearing out.

Different fire. The one you experienced was in western Canada.

Nova Scotia is burning. I know someone who is almost surrounded. They are packed and hoping they don't have to evacuate. They live in Middle Sackville. There are 46,000+ acres on fire.

We've been to Nova Scotia a few times. Lovely. Haven't spent much time in the Halifax area. We spent more time on the Cabot Trail, north west of the Halifax area. Years ago, the company I worked for built equipment for commercial fishing for the vessels in the Halifax-Lunenburg area. Such nice people to deal with. Sad what's going on there now.

We have an overnight planned in Fredericton in August at the beginning of our trip. That is just north of Halifax. We'll be watching....

I'm oblivious to it. you can see a slight haze but I haven't smelled it.
Smoke filled skies aren't a new phenomenon.
