Winter Warrior
Gee, Chaz, you're making me blush here.
We bought Habu to be used as my primary year round driver, with the intent that we would keep her forever. At some point in time she would become a weekend car if another daily driver became desireable, but there was never any timeframe in mind for that. Since I am now on long term disability and no longer working, that all has been scrapped, and Habu has been getting much less useage than originally intended.
We still intend to keep Habu forever, and with the reduced useage that should be easier to do. Hilly has repeatedly said she will never get rid of her, no matter what happens to me due to the cancer, and she has also said she will drive and maintain her as I have, and will continue to participate in the Vintage meets whenever possible.
I drove her (and still intend to drive her) in any form of weather. Being out in the snow in her, with the proper tires, is a real hoot; the S2000 makes for a GREAT driver in the snow, as long as you keep in mind the necessary cautions of a high horsepower, lightweight rear wheel drive manual shift car.
When I was working, I'd nearly always have the top down if it wasn't actively raining or snowing. The coldest I've ever been out in was around 10*F or so, all bundled up with hat, earmuffs, scarf and winter parka, with the heat blasting. I got such a chuckle from the reactions of other drivers looking at me in shock.
I've not been worried about salt and dings and such. She's still a HONDA, with all the security and reliablility that implies. I try to get the winter salt and grime off on a semi-regular basis, but I don't lose any sleep over it. As far as scratches and rock dings and such, I consider those to be badges of honor for drives well done. If they ever get to a point where they look bad, I'll have her repainted; so far she still looks good to me.
I guess you could definitely call us winter warriors!!!

) fashion, we'll need another designation for better-than-gold memberships. Platinum, being used for all sorts of credit cards these days, is pass

Therefore, I nominate "Plutonium Member" as the next higher category. That way, when someone plunks down that much, we could all chime in: "You da bomb!"
Of course YOU would think of some radioactive terms.
Thanks Grannyrod for your kind statement
