Default Yankee Spring training camp

I'm thinking of going to Tampa next year to the Yankee's camp. Has anyone been and is it worth the trip?

I guess one would have to ask a Yankee's fan and I am pretty sure that the answer would be "yes", and a lot less expensive than seeing them play in NJ.

I grew up in Queens, NYC and my oldest friend is a life long Yankees fan. I grew up as a Met's fan. But we remain friends until this day in spite of that. I believe that he goes to Spring Training every year. As he lives in Punta Gorda, FL. I know that he has season tickets to the local minor league team and goes to over a hundred games a year. He use to pitch Little League and is REALLY into base ball.

Glenn, If you would like shoot me a PM or an E-mail with any questions that you have and I can pass them along or put you in touch with him.

P.S. Remind me to tell you my favorite Yankee fan joke at SF12

My sister and other family members often take in a spring training Red Sox game while in the Fort Meyers, FL area.

They love it!

Go for it.

The Red Sox! I know I've heard of them, aren't they a farm team from Vermont?

I have to add this Lainey. When I lived in Connecticut my data collector was an ardent Red Sox fan, she used to call the Yankee's the Crankee's. When Boston and New York were playing a series, if the Red Sox lost, she wouldn't even talk to me.

I have heard from people who have attended that it's like going to a triple A game. The player's sign baseball's, it's a much more relaxed environment.

The Twins and Ray's were signing baseballs yesterday and talking to some kids during batting practice. Nice!

Glenn,

The first reply that I got from my long time childhood friend was whether you were interested in the Yankee's Fantasy Camp. I took it upon myself to tell him no. I have not heard back from him yet.
