Default You bought the car. What else are you intending to do?

Forgive me if there is already such a thread but I couldn't wait sharing this very meaningful proverb:

"You're finally entering the period of life in which the things that you want to do greatly outnumber the things that you will eventually do."

This came from one of my humor sites I visit and thought it was PERFECT for our forum!

Personally I think it's sad but very true. But I have a hunch that most of us are cast from the same mold when it comes to "not letting life pass by without doing those things most people just keep talking about".

For me:
1. Buying an extraordinary, unnecessary and impractical sports car. Status: Well, you know.
2. Learning how to play the guitar. Status: Started two months ago and loving every minute of it.
3. Taking expensive golf lessons from a real pro. Status: Had ten lessons. Helped immensely. Had to stop...hip problem
4. Taking my family on a surprise trip complete with the works! Status: Pending
5. .....

How about you??

1. I'd like to wake up and realize that not all of my planning and goals have to be for "someday". For many things someday is here.

2. I'd like to have the time to get involved in a charitable organization like Habitat for Humanity or Save the Children so that I can give back some of what I've been lucky enough to take out over the years.

3. I'd like to see my sons grow up to be adults.

4. I'd like to have the time to read all the books and see all of the movies I never had time for.

5. I want to spend more time with my wife.

and more.

I'm kind of on "cruise control", just taking 1 day at a time.

I've always wanted to catch a bonefish on a fly. When I was a kid growing up, it was a unattainable dream. Now, I just have to get over being too cheap to let go of the money.
