It was actually very good sports. But as a Yankees fan, I can see why you'd be confused.

LA Rams. So far, so good. Like watching a good college team's offense.

Saints got a nice win on the road in Baltimore yesterday. A bit lucky as the Ravens kicker missed an extra point in the final seconds of regulation that would have tied the game and sent it into overtime. He had never missed an extra point kick in his career, having made every one of his previous 222 attempts. This streak was commented on by the broadcast team as the Ravens lined up for the attempt, no doubt putting the jinx on the poor kicker.

Regardless, it was a big win for the Saints vs. the best defense in the NFL, at least prior to Sunday. Ravens had not allowed a second half touchdown all season. The Saints scored a pair in the fourth quarter for a come-from-behind win.

Here are Mike's NFL Top 5:
1. Rams
2. Chiefs
3. Saints (T)
3. Pats (T)
5. Carolina.

My Steelers and Lions are missing from your list?

Yeah, Dave. Sorry about that. Your Steelers do sit atop the AFC North, but there are 8 division leaders and only five slots in Mike's NFL Top 5. As for your Lions, well...they could make some noise in the NFC North where there really isn't a dominant team so far this season. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Do the Lyons have any above-average players other than Stafford?

Great thing about last week: Raiders didn't lose, Green Bay didn't lose

This next week: Raiders have a chance to sneak a win by Indy. My best guess is that the handicappers forgot that the baseball diamond is pulled up for the season at the Coliseum.
If Green Bay wins, the offensive MVP will be the flu that hits the Rams locker room, because that's the only way Green Bay is winning.
