07 S2000 Seating surface - ALL leather?
I have read several old posts that talk about what parts of the car are real leather and what parts are "pleather". However, I used some Meguair's leather cleaning / conditioning wipes on my seats yesterday and really only the perforated inner section seemed to absob the conditioner. The outside surfaces are certainly different than the back of the seat and are stiched, but the pattern is strange for leather. Any help to a S2000 noob is appreciated.
I'm going out on a limb with this one, but maybe try some cleaner? and then redoing the Conditioning wipes? I used the wipes on my seats, and it soaked into everything, just took a little longer on the side parts, (I let it sit overnight). It gave it a nice shiney look, and made them look brand new.... I even had people sit in my car and say "It even smells like a new car", not knowing it's a 2002 :-D Does that mean I'm just that good?
welcome to the car and to our board!!
yup- a diff leather, but the seating surface is all leather and the same products will work on all of it...
tip- work the product into the bolsters (sides) first so that you dont have excess on the rag or pad before you go for the middle sections (to keep the stuff outta the holes)
and agree that i would clean first then condition- even on a new car.
finish by buffing them with a clean mf
