(i am replying to move this back up so you have a better chance for a more specific answer!)
i know that i have seen it in auto parts stores... but dont remember which ones-
i always buy mine from web detail suppliers- they have everything i need, and i dont have to go from store to store to try to track down everything i need-

I get mine at a specific Auto Detailing Supplier. If you still have trouble, contact your local auto detailers and ask them who they get their supplies from.

BTW, i luv using 3M SMR.. with PC ! Just to add, something that you may wanna get down the road is the 3M Fine Cut Compound.. it really gets at those "deeper swirls/scratches" if you have them.. Those 2 products , my PC along with my pads and zaino are my most prized possessions in my detailing arsenal...

A big NAPA store usually has all the 3M products - I like them, but they work best with pro equipment than hand use - foir hand use, the Griot's #1,2,3 are nice products. I also use the Meguiar's pro series cutting compound, #9, then #7 (or #5 if you can find it). #5 is great for new paint prior to waxing, because it sets up fast in humid climates better than #7.
