5 starshine Good or Garbage?
Hey professionals.
I am too cheap for Zaino. Its a Honda afterall, not a Ferrari. I usually use Meguiars $12 a bottle stuff. Seems to work fine. However, I plan to keep my car quite a while.
Is Zaino the only way to go? Have you heard of this place http://www.5starshine.com/.
It sounds pretty solid, but might just be a cheap infomercial.
Thanks!
Any advice on keeping the wheels brake dust free?
Thanks dudes.
Adam

adam-
there are several products that claim to be "apply once and forget about it for years"... we have reviewed several.
the conclusion has always been the same- you just cant get the same protection and/or shine from a one time app. at the very least, you will have a swirled out car, and will get a dull finish after awhile.
not sure that i understand your comment that "its a honda and not a ferrari"- so does that mean we shouldnt take care of it? i would like my finish to look new for many years... which a good detailing routine will do.
for your wheels- a few tips:
first get them really clean (i use the same shampoo as the body of the car and a good wheel brush). but if you have bad grime, there are several products that will take care of the wheels (such as p21s wheel gel). sounds to me like you wouldnt do this, but the perfectionist will actually remove the wheels to really detail them (to get the intererior clean and waxed).
once clean, you then should wax them (either carnuba or synthetic) periodically. whenever you see brake dust you should use a detailers spray to wipe them out, or wash them.
prob more than you really wanted to know- but just in case i didnt get everything, let us know!!
