Default 600 watt light!

Maybe I'm the last one to figure this out. I have fluorescent lighting in the garage, but still wasn't really seeing all the paint defects. Then I noticed Fminus using 600 watt halogens. OMG.... every minor scratch became visible! Thanks, Fminus.

I also stole this from Fminus's playbook. Our local Sears had a weekend special....two craftman 500 watt halogens on a tripod for 20 bucks!!! What a difference it makes!

From the reflection, Fminus was using a 2 light setup on a stand. Nice. I just have a single one that works great. Just watch the ads. Should be under $20. Home Depots, Lowes, even Amazon.

or just a large two car.....thats what ive got. Couldnt believe the price when i saw it. Also, after knee surgery a couple of months ago the craftsman mechanics stool for 25 bucks was a great deal too!

Wait, I thought everyone knew this.

BTW, halogens only show a certain types of scratches/swirling. Combine a few different light types for the best look. i have 1500 watts of halogens and 4 overhead 32 watt fluorescents in my garage and it still needs to go in the sun for final inspection.

With all that, I can appreciate that you don't need the f/2.8 lens anymore. That is nice glass.
