My situation is not about AC smell but the interior smell. It's not a bad smell but I just don't like it. How do I get rid of it?

Clean the interior, shampoo the rugs and floor mats. I would recommend actually pulling the seats out of the car for this. Use a leather cleaner/conditioner. That should take care of just about any interior smell thats not coming in via the vents.

What do you recommend I use to shampoo the carpet and floor mats?

Well for air freshener, I have fallen in love with a local brand's car scents. This is some really powerful stuff! I spray it once in my car, and once in my trunk. It seems to stay longer in the trunk.

I like the vanilla orange scent. The owner of tropi-care is really awesome, and I met up with him locally about a month ago to buy some lake country pads and other stuff.

I tried spraying my cologne in the cabin. It lasted longer in my miata than my S. But then my miata doesn't have the same smell from the S.

S2000 is manlier hence the reason why you are able to mask only so much smell with cologne. Testosterone and sweat productions is quadruple of Miata's. hahaha

It's been more than 24 hrs since I used 1Z Einszett Klima-Cleaner - A/C Odor + Bacteria Cleaner and I can still smell the product which is good. I actually forgot to start the AC after 20 minutes and left it for about 1 hr. I guess I can say the result is positive.
