Advise on a worn black 4runner
Or Should I go through the 4runner with the PC and mezerna?
I'm wondering if Zaino will make enough correction with the protection kit that I wouldnt need to PC/buff with several steps of a PC kit?
Anyone brought a worn black paint car back from the dead with just zaino?
Thanks
Harold

agree- zaino is good for very light correction-
also agree with menzerna as a product choice.
check with our sponsor for specific products... and your s2ki discount!
pc + menzerna for paint correction.
then zaino- z2- for protection . at least coupla coats, and finish off with carnauba- lusso oro or p21s are good toppers

Well currently I can make it look good with 3m Glaze.
I'm being lazy and trying to skip a step as you can see and go straight to zaino. I know I'd technically be better off with the full correction before but, if it looks good with glaze now will the zaino do the same but, hold up a lot longer?

Glaze doesn't remove defects, it covers them up with fillers and applies oil to the paint to get it to shine. Glazes don't last however and they aren't recommended under Zaino.
Zaino itself is just a sealant. It just amplifies the finish and provides portection. The appearance (depth, clarity and shine) comes from the polishing stage.
If you want to make your paint just look shiny, use a carnauba wax. They are also loaded with oils to make your paint appear wet.

Well I was thinking shiney with long lasting effect. Hadnt reeally tried zaino on something with some real wear. I have been using a commodore product that has teflon in it on the 4runner. Same stuff your dealer might use for you "paint protection"
IMHO, if you're not prepping the surface properly before wax/glaze, then your just wasting product. Once the correction is done, it is easier to matain the results.
You should do a full correction, especially since you asked about bringing the paint "back from the dead".
I used to use glaze, but gave up on it, as it's longevity is a joke. Sealant isbetter, but then again, I don't always use it before waxing.
Just My $.02. No offense.
