Ok, after reading many threads I think I have the process down.

few questions though..


1) ive been getting mixed answers on the mixture ratios of zfx+z2. ive also read on their website and it says i need to do 2 oz of Z2 with 10 drops of zfx. what is the concensus on this mixture?

2) how much will i actually need for say 3 coats? will 2 oz of Z2 be enough?

3) after finishing the 3 coats, when the car gets dirty (say in a month), is it as simple as washing again? no extra coats of zaino needed or any other detailing cleaners?

1. That ratio is fine.
2. For someone that uses Zaino regularly, 2oz will be okay for 3 coats. For a newb, you'll probably go through twice that. Keep the coats VERY light. You should hardly be able to see the product on your paint.
3. Correct. Zaino will last between 4-6 months depending on conditions. You can also apply another coat in a month if your car is clean though.

 

and to add to ubetit's excellent points- and to emphasize, as he said, keep the product amount really light. when you have the right amount you will think you dont have enough!! the right amount barely shows and you can just see very light haze in some areas. hard to go too light cause you will be putting on more coats.
i like to top zaino with a true wax... p21s is the easiest to use and lusso oro also is a nice one. waxes will give the zaino a bit more staying power and will also, imo, give a bit wetter shine.

btw, you can also just top it again with more zaino!! i usually have around 20 coats or so before i remove mine. mine is only removed when i have to polish... not very often!

Completely off topic question. I have a zaino starter kit I bought at WTD 06 and I've never used it. Is it still good if I activate it?
