I use Poorboys Bug Squash to remove bugs from customer cars. Just spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe off. Sometimes when they are really bad I use claybar.

Surf City Garage "Road Trip Grime Destroyer" is excellent. Pep Boys now stocks it.

P21S TAW. I have this same problem right now since I do about 500 miles per week of highway driving. Even the TAW is not getting them off completely since they are on and have dried and cured to the paint since I can only get to them on a weekly basis. My bumper is heavily pitted just due to the highway driving as well so I will be water sanding and polishing it with a very heavy cut to see if I can restore some of the shine.

I've used this trick a time or two with the wife's Odyssey when it was covered in june bugs. I drape a couple of beach towels over the front and pour warm water over them to soften the bug "jerky". Keep the towels wet and in about 20-30 minutes they wash off with your favorite soap and water.

tarminator, duragloss bug remover, pinnacle bug and tar sponge. megs apc diluted 10:1 will work also, when used as a presoak (after rinsing before washing).

Stoner's Tarminator works great IME, and can be found locally. Spray on while car is dry before any pre-soak or washing. Leave on a few minutes, then pressure wash off. Follow with normal pre-soak and wash. Any remains will come off with the clay bar. When done, seal up that bumper good to keep them from sticking so hard again. I do 90+ on my truck for long a long time (yes, it will hit 100+!!) and this has proved a good method of removing the bugs.

The key is to let them soak. I foam the front of my car and then wash the rest of the car making sure to keep the front wet. By time I come around to do the front they usually come off with my mitt.

I use a product called Bugs Away that I get from my detailer supplier. Spray it on, wait 10 minutes and hose of with a high pressure spray. Clay barring works well too.
