Best way to polish intake manifold
What is the best product to use on the intake manifold when cleaning an engine. I was thinking of using metal polish but the manifold doesn't look like it bare metal. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys. There is a little bit of baked on dust and I wasn't sure how to handle it. Not concerned about shiny look just want it to be clean. I tried some detailing spray and it didn't clean it. Maybe I will do APC like Simple Green or something and scrub it a little but hopefully will get a little better results.
G101 is the best stuff iv used it can be used everywhere interior, wheels, engine and its pretty cheap i will post dilution rates for you.
G101 dilution rate
degreasing hot 1:20
degreasing cold 1:8,
general cleaning hot 1:50
general cleaning cold 1:30<--------- interior
bug or ink removal, wheel cleaning and polymer removal 1:5 <------ that one for engine inlet manifold

after the all purpose cleaner a decent metal polish will restore some shine to it, something like Autosol, it requires a lot of rubbing though. I like Spray Nine cleaner, it is easy found over the counter at most hardware or auto parts stores.
