This bugs the hell outta me!
A clear bra (along with other types of bras) are primarily effective in preventing rock chips, if one drives under conditions where these are a real problem. Otherwise, there are more cost effective solutions if the problem is only "bug guts."
If your "bug mess" will not easily wash off, this means that your front was not adequately protected by polish and wax. To correct this, first use clay bar or an abrasive cleaner as needed and appropriate to "come clean." Then apply a synthetic polish like NXT or Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss. Then apply a good "pure" carnauba paste wax. Then, finish off with a good spray detailer.
After this when "bug remains" happen, you can get them off with a pressure washer, if you like. If you go this way, make sure you have a "dial down" pressure feature, and can adjust your output to a fan spray. NEVER hit your paint with a high pressure pin point stream of water. This is a good way to strip paint. A boar's hair brush is also a very good tool for "bug stuff" removal.
Thanks,
Richard
