Cali duster report
Well, I was nervous as hell about using one as I thought I might get scratches from it. Not the case. It's been about a month now, and following wanabe's and xviper's advice, I've cut my washing time down signifigantly!!!
Here's my ritual:
every evening after the car gets a chance to cool down, run the duster LIGHTLY over the car. Any nasty areas, water spots, etc, get detailed with Eagle 1 detail spray and mf. Total time less than 5 minutes. I keep the dust down and under control on the interior with a mf dusting rag I keep under the seat. Anytime I am stuck in traffic or at a red light, I just dust the dash and center console. I can hosestly say the car looks as good or better than it did when I bought her!
I have a coat of klasse all in 1 on the car, and follow up with Eagle 1 Wax as you dry on the now rare occasions that I wash her. (by rare, let me define that as monthly....
)
good report catfish!
i do the same, but usually more like once a week or so- and i also use a detailers spray, and usually do the rear deck, rear bumper and part of the rear quarter panels. also do the glass then and wipe out the wheels too.
mine requires less than once a day since it usually lives under a car cover!

Dust is a major issue here in North Texas - and with the 40-50 mph winds we've been having lately, it seems to coat things up pretty damn quick. I figure it's better to stay on top of it than let it get out of control - which wouldn't take too long!!!
Sstylin - make sure you let it air out for a day or so before you use it the first time. Otherwise, you're likely to get some excess wax? on your car. It's no biggy if you do, just wipe off with mf, but it'll add some time to your detail.
SStylin,
I think Catfish offers a valid point. Let it air out thoroughly before using it. Better yet, wrap the duster in newspaper for a couple of days, which will encourage all the excess oils to be soaked out of it. Any excess oils left in the duster will transfer on to your paint, especially if you apply any pressure to the duster as you wipe, or if the body surfaces are warm. You will notice that as the duster gets dirtier, the better it works. Despite it's ugly experience after some time, avoid the temptation to wash it!
Good luck
