Default Car Covers

Sadly I cant garage my '02 S2K, I try to keep it waxed up and clean (only had it a week, lol) but wondered what some may recommend for a good all weather car cover.

Thanks.

Whatever you get I suggest that it's made for the car and is a tight fit. Having a cover flapping around in the wind will eventually wear through the paint where it rubs.

I bought the one that Honda sells for the S. It's a tad expensive but I liked the fit. I can't garage my S either. I've had it 1-1/2 years now and have had no problems.

covercraft weathershield, fitted to the car, expensive (I think it was maybe 300?) but worth it (water beads up on it and runs off, keeps tree and bird droppings away, etc.). You have to keep the car and the cover clean if you dont want swirl marks though.

I use a fitted Covercraft Noah on my '02 which is not a daily driver. It was about half the quoted Weathershield price. Regardless of material you do have to be fastidious about keeping both the car and cover clean (at least the surface on the paint). I never put the cover on the car if it (the car) needs a wash. Never drag the cover across the paint to install or remove it, always fold. Never fold so the crap on the outside gets on the inside surface. It can be a PITA to use a cover properly but the car will look garage kept if you use it the right way and regularly.

I bought this cover (Berlina black S2000) and all I can say is that in the wind, it saws back and forth and totally f'd my car's paint up. What I did at the suggestion of Billman250 is buy the Honda OEM softcover and put that on first and then the covercraft weathershield. The covercraft weathershield didn't work because of the stiched seams.

Since detailing the scratches out, and using the soft cover underneath the covercraft weathershield I now notice not one scratch at all!

Just get the Cover from Honda then put the Covercraft waterproof one on top of it. make sure the car is SPOTLESS and Dust free before covering, otherwise you can say hello to swirls and scratches.
