Default Checking back in!

Hey fellow Wackos!

I've been absent for a while but i thought I'd check in and say hi!

The S2000 has been out of commission for a while (mechanical) and we've been living in a community without indoor parking, the car wash hose has just been turned back on... So I've had to let things slip a little bit on the detailing front.

I did finally get the Subaru its spring detail. A relative quickie with the PC, White/Green pad, 106FF/RMG combo followed by the Werkstatt Prime (again, via PC). Most all swirls and light scratches are taken care of. Followed up again with Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger.

I decided to play around and threw a coat of Zymol Concours down one side the following day...

Anyway, I've streamlined and tried to make my detailing easier as I have less opportunity and motivation to do it anymore. I still want to maintain a great look, though. I personally think the spray waxes finally perform in line with the hype and use them almost exclusively.

I've also run out of a couple of essentials so I'd love to try something new.

My regular regimen lately:
- Werkstatt Prime in spring and fall
- Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger for waxing now out
- Duragloss AquaWax in between now out
- Clearkote Quik Shine for QD/dusting/etc now out

I picked up some Meg's Ultimate Quick Detailer as a stop-gap and it seems pretty decent - looks like Meg's finally reformulated the NXT (about time!). Is it time to try the FK? What's with the Polycharger?

So basically I'm looking to replace a spray sealant/wax, a WAUD/in-between maintenance spray (maybe the Meg's Ult QD I got will handle this), and a good solid QD. Suggestions welcome.

And thanks from an old-school Wacko!

Adam's detailer spray, I love the stuff. It is right up there with Zaino Z6 IMO. I have a gallon of the stuff.

Sure, I haven't lost it, but I've scaled it back a bit. I'm no longer doing wetsanding on my S2000 to get the perfect orange-peel-free mirror finish and I sold my rotary. Heck, I barely even DRIVE anymore. The WRX is three years old and has ~20k miles on it. And it's our primary car. The S2000 has less than 5000 miles on it in the past two or three years.

I may have to try out the Adams. Thanks for the suggestion! So it's sort of a gloss-adding QD? Any protection or just gloss and lubrication?

Just gloss, no wax involved. Just went over my whole car after getting home here, took 10 mins.
