I've never had this problem, but try WD-40. Then wax it afterwards.

If those other techniques don't work, try goo-gone. Goo-gone is good for getting gum out of hair too!

Timely question. I currently have gum on my paint too. I have many coats of Zaino, so I am eager to see how the cleaning goes. I'm still not sure how I am going to attack the problem. Today is my legal watering day, so I am finally allowed to wash my car. I'll let you know how it goes.

Zippo lighter fluid could be used a last resort. It will dissolve the gum and also remove wax. It won't damage the clearcoat either. It will also remove ball point ink from clothes. Lighter fluid works like a dry-cleaning agent, it is a petroleum product called naphtha.

Washed the car and thanks to Zaino the gum just peeled right off when it was cold .
