I didn't use blue tape on my clear 3M protector ares and now I have a line of clay that you can see. I've tried detail spray etc. to remove the clay but with little to no luck. Any ideas - other than use blue painters tape next time.

try using plenty of qd and clay. its possible the clay bar will pick up the clay. run it along the edge of the clear protection, not across it. Or you can try some qd and a good MF towel, and run it along the edge, with just a little pressure.
