Okay, so I got out of the dark ages and discovered clay bars.

I have not tried it but i have heard that Modeling Clay is the exact same thing. Just alot cheaper

not sure that i would want to take a chance using a clay that might scratch my car...
imo, worth spending the money to get a good clay meant for detailing-
besides, you shouldnt need to clay your car very often if you are keeping it in good condition, and covering it when it needs to be covered.

I have never seen ANY modeling clay that is even close to the detailing clay. Get some Clay Magic at Autozone for $10. It even comes with a spray bottle of clay lube.

I have not used this type of clay and am not about to experiment on my car's finish. Regardless of the price, Clay Magic is my favorite clay bar. It's a steal at $10.

I haven't shy'd away from zaino clay bars.. I'm simply too scared to try anything else

Speed Clay is a pretty interesting product - but it doesn't have the same effect as a claybar. AND, it's WAY more costly per use than an actual bar. If your goal is to remove impurities from your car, use the claybar.

Also, SpeedClay leaves a riDICulous amount of white dust behind. Annoying.
